Access Management
Open Access
When Open Access is enabled, any user can connect to your WiFi without needing a voucher code. This is ideal for free public hotspots. When disabled, users must provide a valid voucher code to gain internet access.
Voucher Batches
Vouchers are generated in batches for easier management. You can download a batch as a CSV file for printing or distribution. If you need to cancel multiple vouchers at once, you can "Revoke All" on a specific batch.
Vouchers & Limits
GB Only Vouchers
You can create vouchers that have no time limit but are restricted by data usage (e.g., 5GB). These vouchers remain active until the data limit is reached, regardless of how long it takes.
Roaming
StarPortal supports seamless roaming. A voucher redeemed at one router will automatically work on any other router within the same Site. Users don't need to re-enter their code when moving between buildings.
Health & Performance
CPU & RAM
Monitor your router's "Brain" (CPU) and "Memory" (RAM). High CPU usage (above 80%) can lead to slow speeds. If RAM is nearly full, a quick reboot is recommended to clear temporary data and restore stability.
Online Status
A pulsing green light indicates the router is connected to the StarPortal cloud. If it shows offline, check the power and the Starlink connection.
Pro Tips
Usage Limits: Keep an eye on your account usage bar. If you reach your concurrent user or router limit, new users may be redirected to a "Limit Reached" page. Upgrade to Premium for higher limits.
